The 10th Annual Dual Degree Exhibition: X

Granoff Center for the Creative Arts | Opening Reception January 26th
 

As the BRDD program celebrates it’s 10th year, members of the dualie community are invited to submit for the 2018 show: X.

 

With this call, in response to feedback on previous exhibition themes, we intend to welcome works of all themes, approaches, and media - we consider this to be a theme with/out a theme.

For this year’s exhibition, then, you can consider, but aren’t limited to, ideas of unknowns, crossings/intersections, multiplications, and negations. Feel free to submit any type of work -- whether it be visual arts, installation, performance, words, music/sound, or other forms.

 

If you would like, perhaps consider:

  • 10 (the Roman numeral), the variable 'x', +, multiplication, exponentiation, x!, language

  • Endpoint, intersection, descent, cycles, growth, reflection, time, boundaries and overlap

  • Dissent, rebellion, breaking rules, not

  • Unknown, ambiguity, equilibrium
     

As in previous years, the show will be held in the Granoff Center for the Creative Arts at Brown, a dynamic and multi-faceted venue. There is space for performance, live music, and other experiences at the opening reception.
